A 59-year old man, on probation for methamphetamine charges from St Charles County, Missouri, has been arrested and charged with production of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia here in St Johns County.
Historic City News was informed that, following a request from the probation officer assigned to his supervision, sheriff’s deputies responded to the residence of Darryl Anthony Yanskey, 1255 Ponce Island Dr., C-740, in St Augustine, where investigators observed several items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Because of the highly toxic and volatile nature of clandestine meth labs, the Special Investigations Unit responded to continue the investigation.
During the walk through, detectives located methamphetamine that had been recently produced along with drug paraphernalia. Members of the Clandestine Lab Enforcement Team arrived in order to safely dismantle the lab and collect any evidence.
Yanskey was booked into the St Johns County Detention Facility and will have a first appearance hearing Thursday morning on the new charges as well as an additional charge of violation of probation.
