Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Interstate 95: Daytime southbound inside lane closure from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from State Road 16 to the Flagler County line for median work.
State Road 13: The speed limit is reduced for an intersection improvement while a roundabout is constructed just north of Riverwalk Boulevard. State Road 16: Daytime lane closures at County Road 16A while crews repaint the roadway markings and relocate signs.
State Road 207: Daytime lane closures from the Putnam County line to US 1 while crews repaint the roadway markings.
State Road 312: Traffic has been shifted on the eastbound lanes of the Mickler-O’Connell Bridge over the Matanzas River. Motorists should use caution while driving in the area as crews repair and repaint the bridge. Pedestrians are advised to avoid the east bridge.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Flagler County line to Avenida Menendez.
Also, southbound daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Solana Road to Palm Valley Road while Beaches Energy Service crews replace wooden poles with concrete poles and transfer electrical service. For additional information, please contact Lamar Whitaker at 904-424-9671.
US 1: Daytime northbound lane closures for turn lane construction between Abbotts Way and Las Calinas Boulevard, just north of International Golf Parkway. For additional information, please contact George Adamick, permits coordinator with FDOT, at 904-825-5018 or at 904-759-1730.
Also, nighttime lane closures from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the San Sebastian River Bridge from Saragossa Street to King Street to set beams for the bridge replacement project.
