President Cindy Fraher announced to local reporters at Historic City News that the Republican Women’s Club of Saint John’s County will hold this month’s meeting Wednesday, May 19th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
The club, which is an affiliate of the National Republican Women’s Network, meets at Carrabbas Italian Grill located at 155 SR-312 West.
This month, Joseph G. Joyner Ed. D. will discuss the pro’s and con’s of this year’s education legislation including the Republican favorite SB6 that proposed to end automatic tenure for new teachers and include merit pay, SB4 that increased High School Graduation coarse requirements, SB 2126 of the use of corporate-funded vouchers to send students to private schools and SB 2262 that proposed to change law to allow for creation of virtual charter schools.
$20.00 per person includes the cost of lunch.
