The Southeast Branch Library invited Historic City News readers to enjoy a free program being presented by the Friends of the Library as part of the Community Conversations series.
The audience will return to the cracker days of old Florida as musician and entertainer, Steve Shanholtzer, shares his Grandfather’s tales of St Johns and Volusia counties.
“Wild hog hunts were common and life was hard,” Shanholtzer said about his entertaining program, titled “Swamp Stories”. “But, life was so much simpler.”
Friends of the Library spokesman, Harold George, said that Shanholtzer’s tales will bring laughter and learning. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.
If you plan to attend, the program will be hosted at the Southeast Branch Library located at 6670 US-1 South in St Augustine at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23.
