The City of Bunnell reported to Historic City News today, as part of their year-long Centennial celebration, they will partner with Flagler Habitat for Humanity on two upcoming house painting projects around the city which was incorporated in 1913.
These are not the first painting and cleanup projects the City has initiated. In February a volunteer team and city staff cleaned up the grounds of the old Bunnell Hospital; in March, volunteers painted 403 S. State St.; and in April, houses at 200 E. Drain and 505 S. Pine streets were painted.
“The more volunteers, the less time it will take,” City Clerk Dan Davis told reporters. “We invite everyone to throw on your painting clothes and give us a hand as we continue to beautify the neighborhoods of Bunnell.”
On Saturday, April 27th, the house at 509 S. Anderson St. is being painted, and on Saturday, May 11th, volunteers will paint the house at 104 S Anderson St.
Start time for both projects is 8:00 AM and will continue until approximately 1:00 PM or until the job is complete.
According to Neighborhood Improvement Ambassador Gary Harris, volunteers in the community are steadily making the City of Bunnell shine. Harris says that similar projects will continue throughout the Centennial year celebration.
