Historic City News reader Keli Shaw shared the news that yesterday’s annual Letter Carriers “Stamp out Hunger” food drive collected over 61,000 lbs of food for our local food banks.
The National Association of Letter Carriers, working with the US Postal Service, and the United Way of St Johns County, collected non-perishable food that will be distributed among 15 local area food banks, shelters and other agencies in St Johns County.
Letter carriers picked up donations from residential postal customers and will deliver the food to the appropriate facility.
