St Johns County Sheriff David Shoar told Historic City News reporters about a program underway that was created to educate the public about behaviors and activities that may have a connection to terrorism.
This program, called iWATCH, is a community awareness program to help your neighborhood stay safe from terrorist activities. As you read available materials on our website at http://iwatchstjohns.com or watch the educational videos, remember that the iWATCH program is about behaviors and activities — not individuals.
“We can and must work together to prevent terrorist attacks,” Shoar told local Historic City News reporters. “This program is funded by the Urban Area Security Initiative of the United States Department of Homeland Security and creates no additional cost to St Johns County residents.”
The following thirteen Florida counties are part of the Northeast Florida iWATCH consortium; Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Levy, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, St Johns, and Union County.
