Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Downtown St. Augustine: Nighttime lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. over the Bridge of Lions for bridge repairs.
Also, daytime complete bridge closure from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. over the Bridge of Lions for the Bridge of Lions 5K on Saturday, July 27. Additional road closures during the 5k include Gerard Street, Arpieka Avenue, Arredonda Avenue, Oglethorpe Boulevard, Comares Avenue and Flagler Boulevard in the North Davis Shores neighborhood.
San Marco (State Road 5A): Daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday from Park Avenue to W. Castillo Drive for tree trimming.
State Road 13: Daytime lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from County Road 16A to Roberts Road for tree trimming.
Also, daytime lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Ward’s Creek at State Road 16 to two miles north of Ward’s Creek for shoulder repair.
State Road 16: Daytime lane closures and turn lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Toms Road to San Marco Avenue for sod deliveries, pipe construction, sidewalk construction and roadway resurfacing.
Also, nighttime lane closures from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Toms Road to San Marco Avenue for paving and for sidewalk and drainage repairs.
State Road 206: Daytime lane closures over the Crescent Beach Bridge from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. No total bridge closures with detours are scheduled until after Labor Day (September).
State Road 207: Daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from I-95 to U.S. 1 for tree trimming and sidewalk cleaning.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures after 9 a.m. at various locations from Crescent Beach to Ponte Vedra to install five flashing pedestrian crossing signals.
Also, daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Flagler County line to Avenida Menendez.
U.S. 1: Daytime lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Moses Creek to one mile south of Moses Creek for cleaning ditches.
Also, daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Flagler County line to the Duval County line.
