Mayor-elect Andrea Samuels will accept the honor of lighting the brightly decorated holiday tree when the St Augustine Beach Civic Association presents the 12th annual “Surf Illumination Festival”, held at the St Johns County Pier Park.
The Festival is a free, family-friendly event that starts at 3:30 p.m. this Saturday.
“Mayor Elect Samuels was the Secretary of our organization for many years and we are so proud of her selection as Mayor in 2014,” said Association president, Bill Jones.
Two local pop acts, “Go Get Gone” and “The House Cats”, will perform along with the Allegro Southern Belles, and holiday music featuring the Osceola Elementary School Band and Chorus.
There is no admission charge to attend the event. Over 30 vendors will be on hand selling unique holiday gifts, arts, crafts, food and refreshments.
