Guest Column: Help mosquito control keep the county disease-free

With a new reported case of West Nile Virus earlier this week in Volusia County now is the time to be prepared.

The Anastasia Mosquito Control District needs your help to keep our county disease-free. You can prevent mosquitoes from breeding by eliminating standing water on your property.

Empty anything that might hold water. By eliminating standing water on your property you are assisting the district in creating an environment where mosquitoes cannot breed.

If you are experience mosquito issues, you can get your property serviced by going to www.amcdsjc.org and submitting a “request for service” or calling ACMD at 904-471-3107.
