Tomorrow (Thursday) night, the Anastasia Mosquito Control District will hold its final budget meeting and a lot of big decisions are going to be made. These decisions are going to affect every taxpayer in the District and I am not sure they realize just how much.
Operating costs levied against local taxpayers will go from $2,461,819 for Fiscal Year 2013-2014 to $4,577,718 for Fiscal Year 2014-2015.
Whether you are for or against the proposed millage increase and whether you are for or against the centralization of the Anastasia Mosquito Control District headquarters; I would strongly urge you attend.
