A 20-year-old St Augustine resident, Leah Maria Boschetti, whose last known address was reported to Historic City News as 166 Laguna Court in Saint Augustine, was arrested by St Augustine Police on Friday afternoon when she was unable to pass a field sobriety test. Boschetti was taken into custody at the scene of a motor vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of Pine and Water Streets.
Police say the passenger in the Boschetti vehicle, 21-year-old Natalie Simone Mardirossian, who reportedly lives at 57 Almeria Street in Saint Augustine, had also been drinking. Mardirossian became disorderly with the officers and refused to obey verbal commands. Police arrested Mardirossian and charged her with disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer; a first-degree misdemeanor.
The two vehicle occupants were transported to the St Johns County Detention Facility and booked at about 3:00 a.m. Mardirossian was released at about 1:50 p.m. after posting a $100 bond. Boschetti registered breath blood-alcohol levels of .206 and.213 at the jail. She was released at about 3:30 p.m. after posting a $700 bond.
Darrin Rodriquenz, 35, homeless was arrested at Carmelo’s for trespassing.
Charges were signed against Kim Palma, 41 of St. Augustine for forgery and trying to pass a prescription at the Target Pharmacy.
Jose Selles, 64 was arrested for DUI. He was unable to pass the roadside tests and was transported to the county jail where he blew .187 and .175.
Someone attempted to break into 855 Anastasia Blvd. through a bathroom wall. The alarm went off and the suspect fled the area. Nothing was taken, but the building sustained $2000.00 in damage. Investigation continues.
Deirdre O’Shea, 57, St. Augustine was arrested for stealing $40.56 in make-up from the CVS Store located at SR-16 and US-1.
An employee at the St Augustine Post Office reported damage to two parked vehicle’s windshields as well as one set of taillights. Evidence was found at the scene. Investigation continues.
A local resident reported his bike stolen from 116 St. George St. It’s described as silver and charcoal 26 inch “Mountain Cruiser” he paid $40.00 for it.
Victoria Benoit, 21 St. Augustine was cited and arrested for driving on a suspended license six times. Her tag was also seized.
Michael Wieland lll, 35, St. Augustine was arrested for DUI. Wieland could not perform the roadside tests and was transported to the county jail where he blew .194 and a .195. He was also cited for Careless Driving.
A victim of theft reported he parked his vehicle at Anastasia Lakes Drive, when he returned he found his backpack and his beats speaker and a Texas Instrument Graphing Calculator missing all total of $470.00. No suspects or witnesses.
The victim of a vehicle tag theft on Cerro St. reported she would prosecute if her tag is found in someone’s possession.
A resident on Coquina Av, reported $1825 of vintage and replica items, to include a flintlock rifle from the 1500s were left in an unsecured vehicle.
During an investigation Anthony Gomez, 20 St. Augustine was arrested for obstructing an officer and resisting arrest without violence.
The St. Francis House reported that as they were cleaning a room they found drug paraphernalia in the room. The last people to stay there were Preston Short, 50 and Heather Owen 30, both have had charges filed for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They were gone before law enforcement arrived.
A patron at the No Name Bar reported to someone took $400 in cash out of her wallet and two payroll checks totaling $600. There are no witnesses or suspects at this time.
