The City of St Augustine Public Works Director, Martha Graham, reported to Historic City News that her department will host a meeting at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2nd, to further acquaint businesses with new restrictions on commercial deliveries.
The meeting will be held in The Alcazar Room on the ground level of City Hall, located at 75 King Street, facing the courtyard.
“Anyone whose business delivers or receives commercial freight in the downtown area will want to attend this meeting,” Graham told local news reporters. “There are new delivery zones beginning in December and there will be strict enforcement of vehicle size limits within the historic corridor.”
In preparation for the meeting, Graham authored a letter to all commercial deliver operators notifying them of the meeting and the upcoming strict enforcement of truck size limits.
Those affected were provided with a truck route map and a simple size classification chart, all intended to give notification of the new restrictions and the renewed enforcement of access restrictions.
