Column: Who not to vote for in this special primary
LANCE THATE
St Augustine, FL
The St. Augustine Tea Party does not endorse political candidates. However, they do have a list of candidates with whom they disagree, find problematic, or whose goals are not in the best interests of St. Johns County voters, thus, they are on the Tea Party’s NOT TO VOTE FOR list.
In the January 27, 2015 Special Republican Primary Election for St. Johns County, which is Early Voting now, we observe:
Florida State Senator, Dist. 6:
Challenger for Sen. Thrasher’s Senate Seat, Dennis McDonald said, “Both of my political opponents were elected to represent their House districts in the General Election November 2014. Within days of this honor they resigned from the House seat they just won for Senate 6! Then add to this insult, that their application to run for Senate was even made before November 4. Outrageous? Yes.”
Most Republicans are sorely disappointed with the “musical chairs” game being played by opportunists at the expense of the tax payers. This special Primary is costing $750,000 of tax payers’ money. Dennis McDonald is tall on truth and short on conning the public.
ST AUGUSTINE TEA PARTY: Do not vote for “Doc” Renuart or Travis Hutson.
Florida State Representative, District 17:
Challenger Mike Davis did not leave an elected seat to “move up the ladder” playing musical chairs as did former St. Johns County Commissioner Cyndi Stevenson. Mike Davis is a hard working contractor, not a babbling talker. He goes door-to-door in a big work truck, not on a bicycle. Mike lives in the real world of hard manual work and has a female wife and children.
ST AUGUSTINE TEA PARTY: Do not vote for Cyndi Stevenson.
Florida State Representative, District 24:
Former Commissioner Ron Sanchez is a bully. His primary duty, in his mind, as a former St. Johns County Commissioner, was to protect “Administrator for Life” Michael Wanchick’s “Golden Parachute” retirement, which he pushed through and bragged about then, and most recently, in a Record article. Enforcer Ron Sanchez had 4 Tea Party members ejected from a Wanchick evening presentation without cause.
Recently, a woman in a public meeting was berated by Sanchez for daring to ask a question about Wanchick.
ST AUGUSTINE TEA PARTY: Do not vote for Ron Sanchez
We expect the voter turnout will be light. Your vote will make the difference.
