A month-long investigation into the illegal distribution of crack cocaine in the area revealed that Johnson, who is on felony probation, sold crack cocaine to a confidential law enforcement source; providing sufficient probable cause to obtain the search warrant.
“Just last month, our detectives apprehended a convicted felon from a nearby residence on Pilgrim Drive; and now, they have taken an individual to jail who is on felony probation,” said Sheriff James L. Manfre. “Our Special Investigations Unit is second to none.”
Johnson unsuccessfully attempted to flush approximately 9.9 grams of cocaine and 3.1 grams of cannabis down the toilet as deputies began the search. Also recovered from the residence was $11,715.00 in cash. Two juveniles were said to be inside the home at the time the search warrant was executed. No injuries were reported.
Johnson was transported to the Flagler County Detention Facility where he is being held without bond for possession of crack cocaine, possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis, tampering with or destroying evidence, and violation of felony probation.
