Lynnette Horwath, Director of the PACT Prevention Coalition of St. Johns County, has invited Historic City News readers to attend a panel featuring several of our local middle and high school teens who will share candid perspectives on substance abuse.
If you would like to attend, the event will begin on Tuesday, March 24th, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Creekside High School located at 100 Knights Lane in St. Johns.
“This is an important topic that affects every level of our quality of life here in St. Johns County,” Horwath told local reporters. “Part of the presentation will include suggestions for change from the student’s point of view.”
Andy Duran, is the Director of LEAD/ SpeakUP! Prevention Coalition in Lake Forest, IL, and will serve as moderator of the panel discussion for the evening.
Duran grew up in Ponte Vedra Beach, and is very committed to our local needs helping our youth make substance-free lifestyle choices. Duran is a nationally known speaker who presents compelling information on how a community driven positive prevention approach can transform the mindset of today’s youth.
Everyone is welcome and we encourage local parents, students, educators, clergy, community leaders and the public in general to attend! Admission is free.
