St Paul School of Excellence, a public charter school in St. Johns County, has asked Historic City News readers for their help to avoid cutting additional funds from their current budget.
St Paul AME Pastor Ron Rawls, who directs the charter school, says he wants to be able to retain two part-time intervention teaching positions, necessary to fill a critical need of our children.
“In the grand scheme of things, our need is small when you think of the lives we’re impacting through St. Paul School of Excellence,” Rawls told Historic City News editor Michael Gold. “We just need the right set of ears to hear our story.”
Pastor Rawls described the school as designed to offer small class sizes with close teacher-to-student ratios. To achieve this goal, classroom teachers are supplemented by providing intervention teachers when available.
There is a Go Fund Me account set up on the Internet with additional information and a link to make a secure online contribution by credit card or electronic check.
We need your help through contributions and through spreading our story to others who may be able to help, Pastor Rawls said.
