The Florida Department of Transportation invites Historic City News readers to attend an Access Management Public Hearing to discuss potential solutions to the traffic congestion experienced at the intersection of May Street, San Marco Avenue, West San Carlos Avenue and US-1 in St. Augustine.
The Department previously held two public meetings where alternatives were presented for public input. Since that time, the Department participated in several other public meetings hosted by the City of St. Augustine, and then selected a preferred alternative.
After listening to the input from these meetings, the Department has refined the preferred alternative. This hearing is being held as part of the Design phase to provide you with an opportunity to review the refined alternative and receive your comments regarding the new design.
As of April 5, 2016, project documents will be available for review at the St. Johns County Public library, 1960 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, St. Augustine.
Persons wishing to submit a written statement may do so at the hearing or mail them to the address provided no later than May 6, 2016.
PUBLIC MEETING:
Tuesday April 26, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. followed by a brief presentation at 6:30 p.m. at Holiday Inn and Suites, 1302 North Ponce de Leon Boulevard, St Augustine.
