Chairman William Korach made the announcement today and named Diane Scherff to fill the critical position on an interim basis.
“I want to thank Liliana for the superb job she has done; particularly in bringing the Republican Executive Committee into the 21st Century with social media, and helping build our terrific e-mail database,” Korach wrote.
Since this is a board position and Bylaws require a 4-week notice before an election, a vote will be held during the September 8, 2016 meeting.
While expressing regrets for the resignation, Korach praised Scherff who he said did an outstanding job promoting the recent Lincoln-Reagan Dinner, and distributing to members the chairman’s information and photos from the RNC National Convention held in Cleveland last week.
