The City of St Augustine has reported to Historic City News that the regular City Commission meeting scheduled for Monday, October 10 has been cancelled. The next commission meeting will be on Monday, October 24th at 5:00 p.m.
Also, the informational open house regarding changes to Davenport Park scheduled for Monday October 10 has also been cancelled and will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
After further examination and evaluation of its facilities, administration has determined that all city offices, with the exception of the St. Augustine Police and Fire Departments, will be closed on Monday, October 10th to allow for complete restoration of services following Hurricane Matthew.
These closings include all offices located at City Hall, 75 King St. and Financial Services, located at 50 Bridge St.
City crews continue with priority recovery assignments including those in Public Works and Planning and Building.
Solid waste services will resume on Monday, with the initial pickup of vegetative storm debris scheduled for Thursday, October 13.
