Historic City News received an invitation to visit and review the Wildflower Cafe located at 4320 A1A South, from Dae Lynn Helm.
Wildflower Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday for breakfast only from 7:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Breakfast specialties include crab cake eggs benedict, gourmet omelets, Vermont French toast and German pancakes.
For lunch, Wildflower Cafe features Tuscany panini, turkey Monte Cristo panini, shrimp roll, gourmet salads and freshly made soups.
Diner specialties include Wildflower grouper, flounder Parmesan, sauerbraten, pork schnitzel and on Saturday nights, Wildflower Cafe features a Prime Rib dinner and monthly specials.
Chef Brian Helm, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is Dae Lynn’s husband and he has a degree in Culinary Arts from the prestigious Johnson & Wales University located in Rhode Island. Brian has more than 21 years experience in the food and beverage industry working at the best restaurants, resorts and private clubs spanning the country.
Chef Helm says, “My favorite part of owning the Wildflower Café is creating dishes that customers are amazed by the quality of the product.”
Brian’s wife, Dae Lynn, is also from Pittsburgh and she holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. She has successfully worked in non-profit and government work for more than 20 years. Dae Lynn works behind the scenes of the Wildflower Café on marketing, advertising and personnel policies. She joins her husband in the dining room on the weekends engaged with customers about their satisfaction and mutual acquaintances.
