TDC Cat II Funding Workshops

Two workshops scheduled for April 28 and April 30, are being held by the SJC Tourist Development Council (TDC) to assist not-for-profit groups in applying for Category II funding support for special events.

Last year, the TDC awarded $508,000 in Category II funding. Read more

Costeira Promoted to Captain

A firefighter for the City of St. Augustine for more than 21 years, James (J. C.) Costeira was promoted to the rank of Captain in a ceremony held at the St. Augustine Fire Department on Monday, April 14, 2008.

Costeira, who achieved the rank of lieutenant in July 2000, is shown being pinned for his most recent promotion by his wife, Gay. Read more
