Within a week, we go from chilly, windy and raining weather to bikinis and barbecue!
The last of the spring break crowd was treated to some beautiful summer like weather today and nobody wasted any time getting to the beach. Today’s high temperatures were in the 80’s and that means perfect conditions for fishing, skim boards and a weekend cookout St. Augustine style.
The Vilano Beach boat ramp was filled to capacity with trucks and boat trailers spilling out onto the Vilano Causeway from Hospital Creek all the way to the west end of the Usina bridge.
Extra beach traffic means soft sand conditions and that means extra income for the local mullet patrol; towing out the foolish two-wheel-drivers.
