The St. Johns County Family Integrity Program continues to recruit individuals, couples and families to become foster and adoptive parents according to an announcement received by Historic City News this morning.
The Family Integrity Program currently has 17 children looking for an adoptive home, plus an additional 28 children in need of a foster home.
Anyone interested in becoming an adoptive or foster parent is invited to two upcoming events.
The first is a question and answer orientation to learn more, scheduled for Monday, December 8, at 6:30 pm. The second is a 10-week foster parent training course, offered by the Family Integrity Program on Mondays from 6:30 to 9:30 pm, beginning January 5.
The training course is required for anyone to become a licensed foster or adoptive parent.
Both the orientation and the training course will be held in the Conference Room of the St. Johns County Health and Human Services complex, located at 1955 US 1 South in St. Augustine.
