Nease attacked by vandals

In a media release received by Historic City News today from SJSO Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw, it was reported that three male suspects are currently being sought in connection with a large amount of vandalism that occurred over night at a St. Johns County School.

Faculty, students and the School Resource Deputy discovered the graffiti when they arrived at school this morning. Damage was estimated at $3,000.

Graffiti was sprayed on many walls, windows and the football field at Nease High School on Ray Rd., and the three suspects made it appear that they were Bartram Trail supporters by using the initials “BT” and their mascot “Bears”.

Surveillance video captured the suspects in numerous areas at the school between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. The three suspects, who had their faces covered with some type of clothing, were described as young white males.

One of the suspects was wearing a dark colored shirt and shorts with white tennis shoes and a New York Yankees ball cap with a dark bandana around his face.

The second suspect was wearing a dark ski mask, with a dark colored shirt and pants with white tennis shoes.

The third suspect was wearing a red long sleeve shirt, dark colored shorts and black converse tennis shoes. He was wearing a grey and white head cover and a shirt or bandana covering his face.
