In an announcement received by Historic City News last week, we were informed that The Republican Executive Committee (REC) of St. Johns County will celebrate the Grand Opening of its new headquarters by extending an invitation to the public for an Old Fashioned Barbecue.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2008 between 12 noon and 4:00 PM at the new headquarters located at 238 San Marco Avenue.
The public is invited to join in the Old Fashioned Barbecue and come out to meet the candidates, elected officials and members of the REC and other local Republican clubs, for an afternoon of good eats, good music and good company.
The event will be catered by Jerry Stalvey with live music by Molasses Junction.
In addition to barbecued dinners, desserts and drinks will be provided.
