I met with St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar yesterday on the heels of his announcement to seek re-election.
He told me that, after much personal thought and reflection with his family, he has decided to seek another term to serve again as our Sheriff.
He said that although he feels that we have made tremendous progress in achieving our goals there is much left to be done.
His re-election platform mirrors his previous bid for office citing his proven leadership – in the military, in academics and in public service. His campaign issues remain partnering with our community, preserving our quality of life, protecting our country and homeland and promoting fiscal discipline.
As was the case in his first campaign four years ago, Shoar said, “You have my solemn word that my campaign will be free of the negative rhetoric we have all unfortunately had to endure in other political campaigns throughout the Country.”
Shoar asked for those interested in reviewing his credentials, accomplishments and vision for the future to visit his campaign website.
