Florida Public Archaeology Network is getting into the swing of things this spring and they’ve asked Historic City News to invite our readers to the 6th Annual Yesterdays Festival at Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park.
The event takes place on Saturday, January 31st from 9a.m.-5p.m.
Experience Florida as your grand-parents lived it!! You will have the opportunity to participate and learn about the skills and crafts that helped shaped the history of Florida. Activities include demonstrations of open-fire and cast-iron cooking, re-enactors, historic demonstrations, guided hikes, antique cars, dancing, clogging, food, drinks…and so much more. And don’t forget to drop by the FPAN table and activity area, where we’ll have great displays, give-aways, and Atl-Atl throwing!
The event is open to the public, and it costs $4 per car to enter the park.
Amber Grafft-Weiss, Outreach Coordinator for the Florida Public Archaeology Network says, “We hope to see you there!”
