The Limelight Theatre’s KIDZFACTORY is working with local author Mary Jane Hayes to produce her original play entitled Emma’s House of Sound according to an announcement received by Historic City News this week.
Based on a true story, the play tells the story of Emma, a deaf girl, who faces the challenges of attending public school and trying to communicate with her classmates. This heart-warming play shows the importance of accepting others for who they are and the joy of finding unexpected friends.

Available roles include Emma, her mother, teachers and school children. Limelight is looking for a girl 8-12 with sign language skills to play Emma and a woman with sign language skills to play Emma’s mother.
Rehearsals will be Wednesday and Friday 5:00-6:30 April 21- May 22nd. Shows will be May 24-26.
