City Sprout fruit tree donation program

City Sprout continues to make progress on bringing the Lincolnville Community Garden from concept to realty according to a report received by Historic City News from organizer Cash McVay.

McVay says. “We have completed the necessary paperwork and are hoping to be placed on the City Commission agenda in late March for final approval.”

In April, the organization hopes to start Phase I of the Lincolnville Community Garden by planting the “Edible Grove.” This area will include a variety of fruit trees & plants.

City Sprout is launching the Fruit Tree Donation program to raise money to start Phase I. Proceeds will go towards purchasing and planting the trees and a donor’s plaque.

Tree plaques will include a short inspirational message along with the donors name, if requested. City Sprout aims to create a “path of inspiration” meandering through the grove for the community.
