Fire hydrant flow testing to begin

Historic City News has been asked by the St Augustine Fire Department to inform our readers that flow testing of fire hydrants will begin on Tuesday, January 20.

The tests will be conducted over the next few months between the hours of 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays.

Beginning Tuesday the flow tests will be conducted in the West King St. area and on Anastasia Island within the St. Augustine city limits.

Please be aware that it is not uncommon to have some water discoloration during the testing periods. These tests are necessary to ensure adequate fire protection.
