The St. Johns County Public Library System reported to Historic City News that they are offering a free webinar class to help members of the public learn more about the companies in which they make investments.
The webinar, based upon the library’s new online Business and Company Resource Center, will be offered Monday, July 27, at 3:00 and 6:00 pm. The public may attend the one-hour webinar at the Southeast Branch Library, or it can be accessed from a home or office computer.
The webinar will teach how to find up-do-date information on investments. Topics will include company profiles, industry rankings, company performance ratings, products and brands, investment reports, current investment ratings and more. The webinar is open to anyone, but is designed primarily as an introduction on how to use the Business and Company Resource Center database to locate up-to-date common financial information.
The Business and Company Resource Center database is a new reference source provided by the St. Johns County Public Library System. It is the ideal resource for patrons who want to know more than just basic information about any given company. The database can be accessed by any card-holding library patron in good standing, either via the library website or from within any library branch.
“This new service is a great resource for both businesses and individuals,” said Library Director Debra Rhodes Gibson. “We are excited to make this program available, free of charge, to assist people trying to succeed in a difficult environment. We hope to make the webinars an ongoing series with a variety of topics.”
To access the webinar remotely, you will need a computer with internet capabilities and a phone with outgoing call capabilities. To get the log-in information, contact Cheryl or Todd at the Southeast Branch Library by calling (904) 827-6900.
