“The Voice of Lincolnville”, Carrie Johnson, has invited Historic City News readers and friends to attend the annual Lincolnville Community Christmas Caroling on Tuesday evening, December 22nd.
Come out and join the community as they show their support to our elders as they go Christmas Caroling to The St Joseph’s Nun Convent, The Buckingham-Smith Assisted Living Center, and The Samantha Wilson/ Bayview Senior Centers on.
Community Affairs Officer Barbara Clifford reported that the St Augustine Police Department, Lincolnville Crimewatch, St Augustine Red Tour Trains and many other citizens are meeting at the Willie Galimore Center, located at 399 Riberia Street, at 5:00 p.m. to start the annual caroling.
A Christmas card that is designed by our youth will be given to each residence as they herald the joys of this holiday. For those who plan to join the caroling group, feel free to bring a home made Christmas card to pass out.
If you can not attend the caroling and would like to design a Christmas card for the residents, please drop them off at the St Augustine Police Department, in care of Detective Aiple.
The “young at heart” always love to hear from the youth and it is a good way to teach young people respect for their elders. The Lincolnville community hopes to see you at the Willie Galimore Center at 5:00 p.m. on December 22, 2009.
