Former Mayor George Gardner reported to Historic City News that Concerts in the Plaza opens its 19th season Memorial Day, May 25th, with an afternoon concert in the Plaza de la Constitución.
In an article that appeared in The St. Augustine Report, St. Augustine’s Public Affairs Department observed that its “reminiscent of days gone by when friends and families would gather in the early evening to listen to music in the town square”.
The 19th concert season begins Memorial Day from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with the St. Augustine Jazz Society presenting E.T.’s Swings, The Thing, and The Bill Doyle Quartette.
The season continues through the summer on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m., wrapping up on Labor Day with another afternoon performance.
