Prosperity Bank reported to Historic City News that they have been chosen to receive a Jefferson Award from HandsOn Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Business Journal.
The Jefferson Awards are a prestigious national recognition program that honors individuals and companies for their efforts to build a culture of volunteerism in America.
The Jefferson Awards, which are also presented on a local level, were created in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Senator Robert Taft, Jr., and Sam Beard, founder and chairman of the National Development Council.
Prosperity Bank’s commitment to supporting our local communities runs very deep. Since they started their POP program in 2002, they have volunteered 82,366 hours and donated $201,778.
All winners will be announced in the September 11th issue of the Jacksonville Business Journal.
