Historic City News has learned that the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identity and whereabouts of two men in connection with a burglary of a BP Gas Station off C.R. 210 West that occurred nearly three weeks ago.
Deputies responded to an alarm call at the business at 2:44 a.m., on August4th, and found the front glass door shattered.
The investigation revealed that the two suspects loaded cartons of cigarettes into two large trash cans; then dragged the cans outside and fled.
An inventory revealed that over 100 cartons of cigarettes, valued at over $5,000, were taken. In addition damage to the door was estimated at $400.
Surveillance images show the two suspects were black males that were wearing masks and gloves.
Anyone with any information that could possibly identify these individuals is asked to contact Property Crimes Detectives at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office at 824-8304.
