Posted on 12/31/200912/31/2009 By Historic City News

“We are proud to join forces with the St. Augustine Police Benevolent Organization to be a part of this great weekend event,” Clark Vitulli, co-owner of Harley-Davidson of St. Augustine, told Historic City News local St. Augustine and St. Johns County news desk.

St. Aug Fest will include live music, arts and crafts, local food vendors, a kid’s zone and special motorcycle parking with security. This event will benefit the St. Augustine PBO which provides support and assistance to the families of the St. Augustine Police Department and will provide support to an educational charity within the community.

The fun begins at 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 26th at Francis Field on Castillo Drive with live music and food.

“This special event kicks off the first weekend of Bike Week in Daytona and promises to be a great way for local and vacationing motorcycle riders to not only visit the Nation’s Oldest City, but also to start their riding weekend in a fun and safe environment,” said Michael Etheridge, President of the St. Augustine PBO.

“Thousands of riders will be attending Bike Week in Daytona,” said Vitulli.

Saturday, riders can begin their day at Harley-Davison of St. Augustine with an escorted motorcycle ride traveling through the beautiful landscape of St. Johns County. Cost of the ride is $15 per rider and $5 per passenger, which includes admittance to St. Aug Fest, plus secure event parking. All proceeds of this unique ride will go to the St. Augustine Police Benevolent Organization.

“As we’ve seen in past Bike Weeks, many riders enjoy visiting our historic city,” Vitulli said. “St. Aug Fest will add a unique new level of excitement to their list of to-do’s while attending Bike Week.”

During the day on Saturday, attendees can participate in a scavenger hunt where they can explore historic locations within St. Augustine. A $2 entry donation is requested.

Times for the festival are:
Friday 5-10 p.m.
Saturday 12- 10 p.m.
Sunday 12-5 p.m.
