Florida Public Archaeology Network Outreach Coordinator Amber Grafft-Weiss reported to Historic City News that tours are filling up for the upcoming T’Omb It May Concern conference.
There is no cap for the lectures, but please do take the time to register for tours or workshops you are planning on attending.
Thursday 10 and 11 am tours for Tolomato and Huguenot
Friday 10 and 11 am tours for Tolomato and Huguenot
Saturday 9 and 10:30 tours of National and Trolley tour with David Nolan
All tours and workshops are free and open to the public but limited to 25 due to space in the cemetery and seating on the trolley.
Also, don’t forget we have three archaeology/heritage education workshops this summer. The first will be June 15-17 at Fernandina Beach with Kelley Weitzel (author of Coquina Queries lesson plans, Journey with Florida Indians, and The Timucua Indians: a native American detective story. Workshops will cover two resources: Intrigue of the Past and Coquina Queries. Participants will receive both resources with hands-on instruction for use in the classroom.
