Renee Morris, St. Francis House Executive Director, told local news reporters that she will be on hand at Post Time, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 24th for the 7th Annual Nite At The Races fundraiser.
An exciting evening is planned at the Elks Lodge on A1A South in St. Augustine to support the St. Francis House Capital Building Fund. Participants can wager on each race and you can personalize your involvement by naming your horse and it’s stable.
Morris promises, “This will be a memorable evening”. The prerecorded horse races are projected on the big screen and are called by our own professional race track announcer, Troy Blevins.
Delectable food will be featured from local restaurants; all of which is included in the cost of admission.
The St. Francis House is the only full time emergency shelter between Jacksonville and Daytona Beach, serving St. Johns, Clay, Putnam, and Flagler Counties.
“We are excited about our plans to build a new, larger facility and we cannot do it without your support,” Morris said.
