Community Affairs Officer Barbara Stevens reported to Historic City News that the St. Augustine Police Department is participating with “The Voice of Lincolnville”, Carrie Johnson, and their friends during the upcoming, annual Community Christmas Caroling event.
“Come out and join the community as we show our support to our elders,” Johnson said.
Participants will go Christmas Caroling to the Sisters of St Joseph’s, The Buckingham-Smith Assisted Living Center, The Samantha Wilson Bayview Senior Centers and St Francis House.
The Lincolnville Crime Watch, St Augustine Police Department, St Augustine Red Tour Trains and many other citizens are meeting on December 21, 2010, at the Willie Galimore Center located at 399 Riberia Street, at 5:00 p.m. to start the annual caroling for the seniors.
A Holiday card that is designed by our youth will be given to each residence as they herald the joys of this holiday.
For those who plan to join the group caroling, feel free to bring a homemade card to pass out. If you cannot attend the caroling and would like to design Holiday cards for the residents please drop them off at the St Augustine Police Department, in care of Detective Aiple.
