Melissa Lundquist reported to Historic City News that St. Johns County is currently accepting applications for the following Board and Committee vacancies.
Housing Finance Authority
Two (2) Vacancies
Purpose of Committee: Increase the supply of affordable housing opportunities through tax-exempt and taxable bonds and other available program resources.
Qualifications: Seeking members knowledgeable in the fields of commerce, labor and finance. Members must be a registered voter in St. Johns County. Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting schedule: This Authority meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 3:00pm in the Housing & Community Services Conference Room, 102 Martin Luther King Avenue. Additional weekly meetings are noticed during the administration and implementation of the CWHIP grant.
Application Submission Deadline: May 19, 2010.
Contractors Review Board
One (1) Vacancy
Purpose of Committee: Ensure proper administration of contractor licensing and discipline of licensees.
Qualifications: Must be a resident of St. Johns County for at least two years prior to appointment. Seeking licensed electrician.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 5:00pm in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View.
Application Submission Deadline: May 19, 2010.
North Coastal Corridor Overlay District Design Review Board
One (1) Vacancy
Purpose of Committee: Enhance property development while maintaining and encouraging quality character of design within the North Coastal Overlay District and Vilano Beach Town Center with the intent of accomplishing the goals and objectives of the St. Johns County Comprehensive Plan.
Qualifications: Must be a registered voter in St. Johns County. Members shall be qualified through the demonstration of special interest, experience, or education in design, architecture or history of the North Coastal Overlay community of the area encompassing the North Coastal Corridor Overlay District. Prefer a registered architect or member having expertise in historic preservation and/or architectural history of Florida.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 3-5pm in the South Ponte Vedra Civic Association Building.
Application Submission Deadline: June 2, 2010.
