Cathy DuPont alerted the Historic City News local St. Augustine news desk that on Thursday, February 25th, the city will continue removing all unused or unattended mooring balls.
Where possible, all associated ground tackle will be removed from the waterways within the city limits.
It is the owner’s responsibility to remove all such material immediately. If an owner does not remove their mooring balls and tackle in the affected areas, they risk collection and disposal by the city.
Removed mooring balls will be temporarily stored at the Municipal Marina, 111 Avenida Menendez, and, if not claimed by the owner, they will be disposed of after 90 days.
The removal schedule is as follows:
• March 1-7 Salt Run area
• March 8-14 San Sebastian River area
• March 15-21 Areas north and south of Bridge of Lions
• March 22-28 Hospital Creek area
