Expect detour and delays on Old Moultrie Road

Public Affairs Specialist Karen Pan informed Historic City News local St. Johns County news reporters that effective Monday and Tuesday, October 11th and 12th, Old Moultrie Road will be closed to thru traffic between the intersections of Hastings Road and Old Dixie Highway.

The closure is necessary to replace a cross culvert under the road that has failed and is in need of immediate replacement.

Local traffic only will be permitted during the construction project, including access to businesses. Northbound local traffic will have access to businesses located between Hastings Road and the point of closure at the intersection of Old Moultrie Road and Old Dixie Highway. Southbound local traffic will have access to businesses located between State Road 207 and the point of closure at the intersection of Old Moultrie Road and Old Dixie Highway.

All other traffic will be detoured. The northbound detour will be via Hastings Road to State Road 207. The southbound detour will be via Old Dixie Highway to US Highway 1.

Drivers are asked to plan routes accordingly and drive safely.
