Flagler honors Public Administration graduates

As a Flagler College graduate, I am pleased to report for Historic City News that more than 360 local students have earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from the independent, four-year, comprehensive baccalaureate college.

At commencement ceremonies held on April 24th, Brady Scot Rigdon of Jacksonville received the David B. Shoar Award for Academic Achievement for having the highest grade point average in the class. Charles Edward Drysdale of Atlantic Beach was recognized with the Hamilton D. Upchurch Award for Academic Achievement for having the second highest grade point average in the class.

Other 2010 graduates include:

Jamie Lyn Baccari, of St. Augustine, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. Baccari is employed with St. Johns County Parks & Recreation.

Joyce Bishop, of Palm Coast, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. Bishop is employed with the Flagler County Board of County Commissioners and graduated magna cum laude.

Jeremy A. Bouchard, of St. Augustine, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. Bouchard is employed with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and graduated cum laude.

Thomas C. Brown, of Jacksonville, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. Brown is employed with the City of Jacksonville Fire & Rescue.

Charles Edward Drysdale, of Atlantic Beach, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. Drysdale is employed with the City of Jacksonville Fire & Rescue and graduated summa cum laude. He also received the Hamilton D. Upchurch Award for Academic Achievement for having the second highest grade point average in the class.

Richard James Ferraro II, of St. Augustine, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. Ferraro is employed with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.

Robin R. Gainey, of Jacksonville, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. Gainey is employed with the City of Jacksonville Fire & Rescue and graduated magna cum laude.

Michael R. Goyette, of St. Augustine, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. Goyette is employed with the United Parcel Service.

Gabriel Pellicer, of St. Augustine, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. Pellicer is employed with St. Johns County Parks & Recreation.

Mary Ellen Webb, of Palatka, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. Webb is employed with the First Federal Bank of North Florida and graduated cum laude.

Pamela F. Winkleman, of Palatka, was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. Winkleman is employed with the First Federal Bank of North Florida and graduated cum laude.
