St. Augustine Public Information Coordinator Cathy DuPont informed local Historic City News reporters today that two ordinances will come on for a first reading and two will come on for public hearing at tonight’s regular meeting of the City Commission.
A second reading and public hearing will be held of Ordinance 2010-37; amending section
11-94 of the City Code to provide for civil enforcement of noise control regulations.
Ordinance 2010-38, will also have a second reading and public hearing; amending the City Code by deleting the Code provisions regulating live-aboard anchorage in the Hospital Creek area.
Staff will introduce and the commission will consider, on first reading, Resolution 2010-41, authorizing the distribution of a “preliminary official statement” in connection with the marketing the City’s proposed Capital Improvement Revenue Bonds.
Staff will also introduce and the commission will consider, on first reading, Ordinance 2010-42, amending certain sections of the Code of the City of St. Augustine and establishing procedures relevant to the general operation of animal-drawn vehicles, franchises, etc.
In addition, Staff will discuss property available for lease on West King Street that could be used as a parking lot for West King Street merchants and their customers. The site was formerly the home of Shingler’s Drug Store and is owned by Miriam Leikert.
