The St. Augustine local news desk received an announcement that this Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. til 10:30 a.m., the St. Johns Audubon Society will hold a free walk to meet the birds at Fort Mose State Historic Park.
The walk will be led by a park volunteer and promises to be a fun, informative adventure.
The Valentines Day walk is open to the public and to birders of all levels.
“We’ll walk the boardwalk, see the rookery, and visit the education building,” Ali Fulcher told Historic City News. “Please dress for the weather and bring binoculars and a field guide if you have one.”
Walks are free; park entrance fee applies. Fort Mose is on Saratoga Boulevard; turn right off US 1 North, one mile north of SR 16.
