Historic City News congratulates St. Augustine High School student Monika White on winning the drawing for a $250 scholarship to attend St. Johns River Community College at the school’s recent Open House.
Students were treated to lunch and a chance to win the scholarship while attending the annual event; designed to inform the potential freshmen of educational, scholarship and financial aid opportunities in addition to giving them a more in-depth look at college life.
Local high school students toured the campus and attended presentations about the Associate in Arts transfer degree as well as other specialized training programs in respiratory care, computer science, criminal justice and drafting.
Registration for new students wanting to attend during the “Summer A” term will begin on March 10th. Classes for the term begin May 10th.
