Pending Senate confirmation, Historic City News has learned from the governor’s press office that 56 year old Jim Purdy of Daytona Beach has been reappointed to the Florida Medical Examiners Commission.
Governor Charlie Crist reappointed Purdy for a term beginning January 6, 2010 and ending July 1, 2013.
Purdy is serving his second elected term as public defender for the Seventh Judicial Circuit which includes St. Johns, Flagler, Volusia and Putnam counties.
Also appointed today was Donna Hayes, 66, Manatee county commissioner, succeeding Elizabeth Porter.
