Trucker identifies attacker in road rage incident

After receiving a 9-1-1 emergency call from a Winter Haven trucker traveling north on Interstate 95 yesterday, law enforcement officers were able to locate and stop another driver who is said to have pointed and shot a handgun at the truck.

46 year-old Lorenza Prelow who resides at 1375 Marsh Hen Drive in Jacksonville, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault using a deadly weapon as well as shooting or throwing a deadly missile.

What is being described as a case of “road rage” began in Flagler County; just south of the St. Johns County line.

The Florida Highway Patrol told reporters that the driver of the car took a handgun and pointed it out of his window — then fired the weapon at the truck driver; one time.

No one was injured.

Prelow was released from the Flagler County Jail after posting a $1,000 appearance bond.
