Local St. Augustine reporters at Historic City News have learned that sometime between last Thursday, July 1st and Saturday at noon, a residence on Blanco Street had been entered and two handguns stolen.
Police received a report from the homeowner who said that his two .32 caliber Smith and Wesson revolvers had been stolen from his residence.
According to a statement received by police, the homeowner indicated that the handguns were hidden inside the residence and that they had only recently turned up missing.
The value of the revolvers is reported to be $200 each.
Community Affairs Officer Barbara Clifford of the St. Augustine Police Department reports that the investigation is ongoing.
